U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Diving
June 18-26: Indianapolis
Tucson High junior Delaney Schnell (Tucson Diving Team) was paired with 20-year-old Samantha Bromberg of the University of Texas/Longhorn Aquatics for the Synchronized Women Platform competition at the U.S. Olympic Diving Trials this past week in Indianapolis.
Schnell and Bromberg came into the final on Wednesday in third place but moved up to a second place finish to Jessica Parratto and Amy Cozad. With only the top team qualifying for the Olympics, Parratto and Cozad will represent Team USA at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Schnell is still competing in the Senior Women Platform and will dive in the final round scheduled for Saturday, June 25. The top two divers will qualify for the Olympics.
