A reliable source told AllSportsTucson.com’s Jose L. Roman Jr. today that Casino del Sol and Golden Boy Promotions have agreed to a July 29 date for a boxing event.
Oscar de la Hoya, owner of Golden Boy, is in Tucson tonight for the boxing event at Casino del Sol.
The news of another boxing card in July — the fighters are yet to be scheduled — indicates de la Hoya and Golden Boy approve of the Casino del Sol facility and the commitment from the community toward supporting the sport. More news to come.
