O’Toole, a 2017 All-American and the Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year, is coming off an impressive performance for Team USA at the World Cup of Softball XII in Oklahoma City. She pitched a one-hit shutout against eventual champ Japan (the United State won silver) and had a 0.47 ERA in 15 innings, spanning four appearances. She allowed four hits and struck out 11.
