Sunnyside’s Junior Little League baseball team, comprised of players 13 and 14 years old, begins play today in the West Regional at San Jose with a game against Northern California at 4 p.m.

Northern California advanced to face Sunnyside with an 18-1 win over Montana yesterday.
Sunnyside went unbeaten in the district and state championships, posting a 7-0 record. It reached the regionals by defeating Nogales 14-3 in five innings in the state championship last Sunday at Sierra Vista.

The Sunnyside Major Little League team (11 and 12 year olds) that can ultimately reach the Little League World Series at Williamsport, Pa., begin play in the West Regional at San Bernardino, Calif., next Sunday.
