My brother Andy Morales, vital to Tucson High School sports coverage in the last couple of years, will join this Web site until other possible avenues open after Gannett Publishing Co. decided today to make TucsonCitizen.com an archive-only site.

Andy, who turns 50 this year, has lived most of his life in Tucson and understands the background of University of Arizona athletics and high school sports in Tucson. He has attended Wildcat games since Bruce Larsen coached the basketball team.

He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education at Arizona. He and his wife Jane have three daughters — Arianna, Brittney and Maggie — who have each played competitive sports at Canyon del Oro. Maggie is currently a junior softball player with the Dorados.

Andy also has a vast experience in public service in Tucson. He has taught in the Amphitheater School District for almost 25 years.

Please welcome Andy to this site with his insight of the history of the Wildcat program and the current events related to Tucson High School sports.
