Off-the-beaten-path storylines: Arizona Wildcats at Colorado Buffaloes

[tps_title]Updating Nick Wilson’s chase of Ka’Deem Carey[/tps_title]

Nick Wilson is listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game at Colorado with a foot injury although he also hurt his shoulder last week at Oregon State. Arizona has the depth to make up for the loss if Wilson does not play with Jared Baker and Orlando Bradford but Wilson’s tenacity and instincts are tough to replace.

Last month, I posted a comparison of Wilson with Arizona’s record-holding running back Ka’Deem Carey. With Wilson slowed by his injuries, his chase of Carey will be affected.

Presently, after 351 carries, Wilson has 2,058 yards with 24 touchdown runs. At the same point, Carey had 2,082 yards with 25 touchdowns. Very close.
