This was Scooby Wright’s coming-out party nationally with Arizona’s upset of No. 2 Oregon in Eugene, Ore.

He posted seven tackles, a sack and forced a critical fumble from quarterback Marcus Mariota as the Wildcats handed the Ducks their only regular-season loss.

After Oregon scored 10 unanswered points to tie the game at 24-24 with 8:21 remaining in the contest. Arizona running back Terris Jones-Grigsby managed to score his first rushing touchdown of season with 2:54 left to put the Wildcats back ahead.

The Wildcats’ defense, led by Wright, sacked Mariota and forced a fumble to give the Wildcats possession and the win. He may have produced more tackles and sacks in other games, but his big-game performance against a highly-ranked opponent merits this game as Wright’s top game at Arizona.

He arrived on the national scene as Arizona beat Oregon in consecutive seasons. The year before against Oregon at Arizona Stadium, Wright achieved this circus interception in the Wildcats’ 42-16 victory:
