Three Rio Rico softball standouts sign to the next level

Rio Rico softball standouts Janice Garcia, Marlee Baxter and Clarissa De La Ossa signed their college commitment letters during a ceremony held at their school on Friday. Feb. 17.

De La Ossa is an outfielder/pitcher, Baxter is a utility player and pitcher and Garcia is an infielder.

“We are looking forward to having Clarissa join our Viking family,” said head coach Michael Mook in a school release. “She is an all-around good softball player. Her ability to read the ball off the bat and her understanding of the game is a great addition to our program. We are looking forward to having Clarissa’s versatility in our program.”
