SOCCER PLAYOFFS: Salpointe boys drop close semifinal match; Ironwood Ridge girls play next

No. 10 Salpointe lost to No. 3 Cortez 1-0 in the 4A semifinal round Wednesday night. The Lancers upset defending state champions No. 7 Coronado 5-2 in the first round and No. 2 Greenway 3-2 (OT) in the quarterfinal round.
