Sahuaro Fastpitch beat Oro Valley 12-2 Wednesday night at Udall Park in 10U All-Star pool play. Both teams will advance to the playoff brackets, scheduled for Friday and Saturday at Udall Park with the championship game scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday night. All-Star teams from Las Ninas, Vail and El Rio will also take part, although updated standings or brackets have not been made available.

Sahuaro scored a run in the top of the first on a single from Emily and an RBI from December. The team added three more runs in the second with Bobbi pacing her squad with two RBI. Bobbi finished the game with four RBI on a 3-for-3 night at the plate.

Sahuaro added four more runs in the third to make it 8-0 but Oro Valley scored two in the bottom half of the inning to cut the lead down to 8-2. Oro Valley was limited to three hits in the game and the comeback stalled with Sahuaro scoring another run in the fourth and three more in the fifth for the 12-2 final.

Gabby, Taya and Ciara recorded hits for Oro Valley. Bobbi led Sahuaro with her 3-3 outing, Alicia went 2-2 with two RBI, Alexa went 2-2 with a double and two RBI, Carissa had an RBI, Alanna had an RBI, December collected two RBI and Emily had a single.

December, Julissa and Hannah pitched for Sahuaro while Micaela, Ella and Cailin took the circle for Oro Valley.

District 5 Little League All-Star tournaments will start on Monday, June 18 and District 12 starts on Wednesday, June 20.
