YOUTH FOOTBALL: 13U Raiders & Redskins

The Tucson Youth Football & Spirit Federation (TYFSF) Game of the Week featured the 13U Raiders and Redskins battling it out at McDonald Park on Saturday afternoon. The Raiders came away with a 45-0 victory with plenty of action to go around.

David Cordova finished with 59 yards rushing with 30 coming on the opening play to help put the Raiders up 8-0 with Mason Sanchez connecting on the 2-point kick. Jahli Govan put the Raiders up 16-0 moments later on a 45-yard punt return.

Deion Conde followed that up with two touchdown throws in the second quarter. Conde found Christian Bayliss form 3-yards out and Cesar Alcantar from 15 yards to put the Raiders up 32-0. Jack Arvizu put the Raiders up 38-0 at the half on a 1-yard plunge. Cordova finished the scoring with 12-yard run in the third.

The Redskins were led by quarterbacks Aaron Rodarte and Diego Ramirez but the duo couldn’t get in the end zone despite combining for 52 yards passing and 30 yards rushing. Andre Blanton added 22 yards rushing and Alejandro Mills had 36 yards receiving. For the Raiders, Andres Baca rushed for 56 yards to go along with the 59 from Cordova. Alex Garcia added 28 and Devin Ibarra added 16.
