The Roskruge Pumas girls basketball team finished a perfect season with a 29-25 win over Mansfeld in the TUSD middle school championship game.
The game went back and forth with lead changes throughout but clutch rebounding and an effective defense sealed the win for Roskruge. Eight of the 10 girls scored and every player had critical moments where they contributed to the win.
The Pumas, comprised of eighth graders, qualify for the Arizona State Basketball Championships in February.
