Jet Sports Training Female Athlete of the Month: Sabino track standout Eva Bruce

Sabino track and field standout Eva Bruce, only a junior, is the Jet Sports Training Female Athlete of the Month for May after bringing home four individual state championships and the heptathlon title at the AIA Division III state meet.

Her championships in the 100, 200, 300 Hurdles and long jump helped lead the Sabercats to a runner-up finish in team competition. She solidified her position as the best in Southern Arizona, and the state, by winning the heptathlon championship held at Mesa Red Mountain High School.

Bruce earned the “Arizona’s Greatest Athlete” honor after that heptathlon victory.

Bruce’s times and marks are tops in Southern Arizona in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles and second in the 100, 200, 400 and Long Jump.
