Dalen Terry we hardly knew you. He’s now gone, saying Tuesday afternoon via Twitter he’ll stay in the NBA Draft and take his chances at being drafted.
“It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to play at the highest level,” Terry said. “After many conversations with the people closest to me, I’ve decided to remain in the 2022 NBA Draft.
“Wildcat Nation, I cannot thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me. Just know that I will be a Wildcat forever.”
Two months ago, teammates Bennedict Mathurin and Christian Koloko declared for the draft and all are now in it.
Terry is projected to go late in the first round or second round. Mathurin is projected to go in the lotter (top 14 picks) and Koloko somewhere in the middle of the second round.
Arizona fans came to love and admire Terry for his personality and basketball ability, filling in at different positions, including point guard while starter Kerr Kriisa was out with an injury.
