Salpointe senior Rylen Bourguet captured her sixth team title as a Lancer with the 2-1 win over Walden Grove on Feb. 25 in the 4A state championship game.
Bourguet scored the go-ahead goal off an Emma Veliz assist at the 65th minute in the victory over Walden Grove.
For that accomplishment, and Bourguet’s performance overall, she is recognized as the Jet Sports Training Female Athlete of the Month for February.

Bourguet’s other state championships are in indoor volleyball and outdoor volleyball.
She committed to join Arizona State’s beach volleyball program a day after beating Walden Grove for the title.
Rylen comes from the accomplished athletic Bourguet family that includes ASU football players Trenton (quarterback) and Coben (receiver) and Western Michigan quarterback Treyson.
