Former Houston shooting guard Joseph Young is currently on a visit to Oregon and is scheduled to take a trip to Arizona in the next week, sources told ESPN.com.

The 6-foot-3 Young averaged 18 points per game for James Dickey and the Cougars this past season and shot 42 percent from beyond the arc. Young’s father, Michael, a member of the school’s famed Phi Slama Jama, recently refused a reassignment within the Houston athletic department. He had been the director of operations on Dickey’s staff.

Joseph Young has one season of eligibility remaining. He will likely have to sit out next season although the family is planning to petition the NCAA for immediate eligibility.

Oregon is considered the frontrunner, sources told ESPN.com.
