ALLONZO TRIER, shooting guard
Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep
[table “” not found /]
An interesting matchup tonight as Trier and Findlay play against former Arizona standout Mike Bibby and his son Mike Bibby Jr. with Phoenix Shadow Mountain. The elder Bibby is the volunteer head coach at Shadow Mountain, his alma mater. Bibby Jr., a point guard like his father who led the the Matadors to a state title last season, is averaging 17.5 points and 7.5 assists per game. Bibby Jr., a junior, does not have a scholarship offer yet from Arizona. Pac-12 schools Oregon, Oregon State and USC have offered. Gonzaga offered a scholarship last week. Tonight’s game starts at 5 p.m. Tucson time.

Arizona coach Sean Miller and assistant Joe Pasternack were on hand at Scottsdale’s Rancho Solano last night to watch Allonzo Trier lead Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep to a 77-55 win over Hillcrest Academy of Arizona.

If the mixtape guys had caught Allonzo Trier's and-one dunk from Desert Challenge tonight, they would have feasted on Arizona fans. #legit

What Meyer was Tweeting about:
Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy coach Jason Smith raving about the defense of Justin Simon, who is an explosive player on the offensive end for the 9-0 Bobcats. Simon transferred to Brewster from Temecula, Calif., for his senior season.
Arizona-signee @simon_Says_so has been as versatile defender you'll see! Routinely defends 4 positions for us each night! #winner
