GT’s Mike Bobinski hired Thad Matta, Sean Miller and Chris Mack when he was Xavier’s AD. He knows what a good basketball coach looks like.

Distinctly remember at Final Four in Detroit, Sean Miller agonizing about whether to leave Xavier for Arizona. Wasn't a no-brainer at time.

More from Mack: "But it really won't matter to our guys, nor will it matter to Arizona, because they don't know me from a bucket of paint."

A message board at XavierHoops.com has a thread titled “Bring on Arizona”. Some of the fans harped on Miller’s comment to Kevin Parrom during the recruiting process after his hire in May 2009. Parrom originally signed with Miller and Book Richardson at Xavier but committed to Arizona to be with those coaches. “He said the Xavier and Arizona situation is like going from a Buick to a Lexus and I completely understand what he’s talking about,” Parrom was quoted as saying on Zagsblog.com.

Xavier vs Arizona. You just can't make this stuff up people. #ArizonaWildcats
— Alec Sills-Trausch (@UofAlec) March 22, 2015
Olson vs former school Iowa in Sweet 16 5th yr w/#ArizonaWildcats. Miller vs Xavier in 6th yr after move. #MarchMadness makes that happen.

Also when Lute Olson faced Iowa in 1988 Sweet 16, North Carolina was in opposite bracket, just like next week w/Sean Miller & UA vs Xavier
