For the 29th consecutive season, Arizona’s softball program will participate in postseason play. The Wildcats will host an NCAA Softball Championships Regional Friday through Sunday, May 15-17, at Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium. Teams in the region include Minnesota, New Mexico State and St. John’s. Arizona is the lone national seed in the region at No. 12 overall. Minnesota and New Mexico State will play at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Arizona and St. John’s meet at 7 p.m. in the nightcap. Friday’s winners will play at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday while Friday’s losers will play at 3 p.m. in an elimination game. The loser of game 3 and the winner of game 4 will play at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sunday’s regional championship will begin at 4 p.m. with the if-necessary second game set to begin at 6:30 p.m. PDT.
