LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Bishop Gorman High School was abuzz here this weekend with high-profile Class of 2016 wing Josh Jackson visiting with his 1 Nation AAU team from Detroit.

College coaches and spectators flocked to the gym to watch Jackson, the No. 1-ranked player at his position according to all of the recruiting services. Las Vegas professional photographer Robert Scot, an Arizona grad who runs Virl Video, served as a special contributor to AllSportsTucson.com during the AAU summer evaluation events here.

Scot took the above photo and others that are displayed in the slideshow of this blog.

Jackson, a 6’7″ wing player phenom, would be an instant starter and important contributor to Arizona’s lack of numbers at his position. Incoming freshman Ray Smith of Las Vegas is the only true small forward listed on the Wildcats’ 2015-16 roster.

Jackson narrowed his list to nine schools four months ago with Arizona and Pac-12 rival UCLA among them.

His recruitment is one of the most notable that included Arizona. When his decision comes, perhaps by November, it will be a significant news day in Tucson.
