[tps_header]Sept. 26[/tps_header]
After a winnable three-game non-conference schedule, Arizona opens its Pac-12 season at home against UCLA in a crucial must-win situation to get off on the right foot in the conference race.
Rich Rodriguez has yet to beat UCLA fourth-year coach Jim Mora, who joined Rodriguez in the Pac-12 in 2012. The Bruins are 3-0 against Arizona in that span, including a 31-26 win at Arizona Stadium in 2013.
The good news for Arizona is that quarterback Brett Hundley is gone. Mora must break in freshman quarterback Josh Rosen or hope junior Jerry Neuheisel establishes himself by the time the Bruins come to Tucson four games into the season.
UCLA faces a physical BYU team a week before playing Arizona and the Bruins host ASU in an important conference game the week after.
Could this be the year Rodriguez beats Mora and UCLA? It must be for Arizona to have a chance to defend its Pac-12 South title.
