Justin Holt’s start to the 2015 season is as big as he is at 6’1″ and 295 pounds.
The Salpointe Catholic defensive tackle, who has committed to the Arizona Wildcats, has tallied 16 tackles with 1 1/2 sacks, three quarterback pressures and one assist on a caused fumble in the Lancers’ first two games of the season.
Holt had a game-changing stop on 4th-and-1 in Salpointe’s 35-26 win at Sahuarita last night. His strength showed as he was double- and triple-teamed most of the game.
Salpointe is 1-1 heading into its game Friday against Anthem Boulder Creek.
Holt is the only Tucson-area player listed on the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Arizona preseason high school football team that was released last week.
