Catalina Foothills went 5-0 to capture the championship of the Flowing Wells Volleyball Invitational on Saturday. The Falcons also won the event last year.

Former Rincon/University head coach Nicolas Thiltges is in his first year with the Falcons. Thiltges replaced longtime coach David Thistle.

“We obviously lost a lot of seniors from last year,” Thiltges explained. “But this is a fun group and we have the potential to have a successful year as long as we are mentally prepared.”

Sahuarita took send place while Kofa took third. Willcox defeated Tombstone to win the Blue Bracket and Desert View came in third.
