Former Salpointe standouts Jio Orozco (Seattle Mariners) and Donny Sands (New York Yankees) will be back in town this December to host the First Annual 520 Elite Baseball Youth Camp.
Orozco pitched for the AZL Mariners (Rookie League) after being drafted by Seattle in the 14th round and Sands played for the Charleston RiverDogs (Class A) after being drafted in the 8th round by the Yankees.
The camp will be held Saturday, Dec. 19 at the Kino Sports Complex from 9 a.m. – noon and is open to ages 9-13.
Cost is $100 if registered by Dec. 17 and $125 after. Cost includes T-shirt.

Instructors include: Luis Gonzalez (Catalina Foothills/New Mexico), Travis Howard (Marana/Santa Clara), John Mareks (NM Military Institute), Alex Robles (Tucson/Austin Peay), Trey Stine (Ironwood Ridge/NM State) and JC Velasco (Salpointe/ Texas A&M-Texarkana).
