As a junior, Kenzie Rod batted .479 with two doubles, two home runs with 20 RBIs for Rincon/University. The infielder signed with Embry-Riddle last week.
“We could not be prouder of Mackenzie,” her mother Amy said. “She worked extremely hard coming off an injury her sophomore season that side lined her for over eight months.
“To see her bounce back and sign with a school like Embry-Riddle will set her on a course bound for success!”
According to her mother, Kenzie will major in Forensic Biology at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott. Her plans are to attend medical school after completing her undergraduate degree with the career goal of becoming medical examiner.
