Ironwood Ridge senior Lexy Ram committed to Cal Baptist earlier today. The Lancers are coming off of a very successful campaign after finishing runner-up in the Division II championship game last year. The team is currently 9-1 this fall.

“We were very impressed with Cal Baptist, from the campus and academics to the basketball program,” her mother Christina said. “Great coaching staff, a welcoming group of athletes and a schedule that will open up some fun travel!”

Ram is sitting at 875 career points and she has helped lead the Nighthawks to a 7-2 record. She was an integral part of the most successful Ironwood Ridge team in school history last year when the squad had a 26-8 record and a third place finish in Division II.

“Lexy has worked very hard as a student athlete and I am so proud of her for realizing her vision of extending her basketball career,” her mother added. “I cannot wait to see a whole new level of play from this young lady!”

Ram could break the 1,000-point mark during the Northwest Desert Classic in two weeks.
