Former Tucson High standout Alexis Cortez signed a professional contract to play basketball for CSM Târgu Mureș in Romania. This is her fourth team in Romania. Cortez helped helped lead Astros de Jalisco to a National Professional Basketball League of Mexico Championship in 2022.
Former Salpointe standout Bijan Robinson (Atlanta Falcons) joined an ownership group to purchase the Texas Ranchers. Myles Garrett (Cleveland Browns) and Micah Parsons (Dallas Cowboys) are also part of the ownership group. “Couldn’t be more excited to be part of this special team,” Robinson posted on his Instagram account.
Flowing Wells senior outfielder/pitcher Christian Cortes announced his commitment to play for Ottawa University Arizona and Sunnyside senior outfielder Alyssa Lopez will be playing for Pima.
