Pima Community College freshman guard Sydni Stallworth (Palo Verde) helped the Aztecs continue its winning streak and was rewarded by the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference.

Stallworth was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for the third time on Tuesday for the week of Jan. 11-17. She had 35 points for the week (25 in the win against Scottsdale Community College on Saturday), to go along with nine rebounds, nine assists and four steals. Pima beat Scottsdale and defeated South Mountain Community College in Phoenix last Wednesday to run their winning streak to 10 games.

Stallworth was named NJCAA and ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 7-13 and received her first selection for the week of Nov. 9-15.

This list will be updated all year in an effort to recognize all former local prep stars who have gone on to achieve either academic and/or athletic awards at the next level,. These are not high school awards but college and professional awards. NOT CHAMPIONSHIPS.
