RBI World Series
Cincinnati: August 3-16

Canyon del Oro standout Michael Santorelli is playing for Arizona RBI and he will be helping his team win the 2016 Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) World Series Monday morning in Ohio against Passaic, New Jersey.

Santorelli is batting .357 (5-14) with a double, triple and six RBIs.

Major League Baseball invited twenty-four baseball and softball teams to the 2016 Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) World Series, hosted by the Cincinnati Reds for the first time in the tournament’s 24-year history. The 2016 RBI World Series featured young men and women on RBI teams from 19 cities around the United States and the Dominican Republic.

The RBI World Series is the international championship tournament of the RBI program, the MLB youth initiative designed to provide young people from underserved and diverse communities the opportunity to play baseball and softball.

Baseball tournament seeding and playoff games of the RBI World Series were played at several locations throughout Cincinnati including Xavier University, the P&G Cincinnati MLB Youth Academy and Great American Ball Park (GABP), the home of the Reds. The Senior Division Baseball Championship and Softball Championship games will stream LIVE on MLB.com.

Arizona RBI went 1-2 in Pool Play but went on to upset undefeated (3-0) Harrisburg RBI 11-2 in the Interleague Bracket on Sunday before taking care of Houston 8-0 in the seminal round. Houston was (3-1) at the time.

Arizona (3-2) will face Passaic, NJ (4-1) for the championship Monday Morning at 7:45 Tucson time.
