Race 2: Prescott White Spar Campground: Sept. 24-25

Salpointe sophomore Madison Major won the Sophomore Division of Race 2 of the Arizona High School Cycling League this past weekend near Prescott. Major picked up 500 points and now leads her division 900 to 971 over her El Grupo teammate Ana Quintana Bernal.

Ironwood Ridge sophomore Emily Taylor is in fifth place with 912 points. There are five races in the series. Major finished in fifth place overall as a freshman.

Race 3 will be held at Ft. Huachuca from Oct. 8-9.
