The first football power rankings will be released this morning. HERE are the specifics on the Ranking System.

The top team in each region will earn an automatic berth to the state playoffs while the rest of the playoff field will be seeded according to rank. As always, a region champion that ranks below the “Top 16” will bump another team out of the state playoffs.

In the 6A Southern Region, the top Tucson team will play the top Yuma team in a one-game playoff to determine region champion. The 1A Conference playoffs will consist of 12 teams.
