Retired school psychologist Kim Freidah of the Sunnyside Unified School District and her son Lucas watched the Spain-Cape Verde match at Atlanta on Monday after taking part in fan festivities Sunday.

Freidah wrote: “What a shocking game to be 0-0 at the end with Cape Verde’s amazing goalie (40-year-old Vozinha) deflecting Spain seven times. Was a wonderful experience for both of us here and now it’s time to head home to Tucson tonight.”

Tucsonan Clair Wyant, a digital marketing professional, is in Boston and will watch the Norway-Iraq match on Tuesday. He caught some Scotland fans celebrating after the country’s 1-0 win over Haiti on Saturday.
