— Cholla quarterback Jordan Porter threw seven touchdown passes and rushed for another in the Chargers’ 69-55 loss at Poston Butte tonight. Porter, a backup to start the season, had only one touchdown pass in his first five games of action before tonight.

NOTABLE:
— Rincon senior RB Ty Grigsby rushed for 70 yards on 19 carries in the first half against Tucson.
— Flowing Wells RB Jose Suarez scored on an 85-yard run for his 10th TD of the season.
— Dylan Allison’s 65-yard touchdown pass to T.J. Florence put Flowing Wells up 14-7 over Walden Grove 7 in the second quarter. Florence also had an interception late in the fourth quarter.
— Cienega’s Breaban Bolton scored on two touchdown passes from Arizona commit Jamarye Joiner and Aaron Aros added the extra point for both scores against Ironwood Ridge. Bolton scored again in the fourth quarter. He had six receptions for 181 yards.
— Joiner finished completing 9 of 12 passes for 223 yards and three touchdowns with an interception. He also rushed for 67 yards on 15 carries.
— Catalina Foothills lineman Bryce Fontana recorded two fumble recoveries.
— Ironwood Ridge was led by Nick Brahler’s 233 yards on 33 carries. Brahler replaced Soma Helu, who was lost for the season the previous week with a broken leg.
— Tucson High’s Jorge Flores connects with DJ Hinton on a 35 yard pass for a TD. Hinton later scored on runs of 40 and 44 yards.
— Marana QB Trenton Bourguet hit Tyson Corner from 7 out Marana against Desert View. He later hit BJ McDaniel for a 56-yard score.
— Desert View’s Jesus Equihua’s interception set up Cesar Olivas for a 2-yard Td run in the second quarter against Marana.
— Marana’s Teon Simmons had a 37-yard touchdown run against Desert View. Tyson Corner also had an interception for the Tigers.
— Salpointe took a 3-0 lead against Catalina Foothills on a 31-yard field goal by Cameron Scharf.
— Carlos Teran had an interception for Desert View in its game with Marana.
— Sahuarita’s Travis Shannon also had an interception against Santa Rita.
— Rhett Rodriguez hit Jimmy Stewart for an 80-yard TD cutting Salpointe’s lead to 10-7 in the second quarter.
— Salpointe QB Kameron Carmickle found Mario Padilla open for a 39-yard TD pass play against Catalina Foothills in the second quarter. Padilla also scored on two touchdown runs. He had 10 touchdowns in his two previous games.
— Salpointe freshman Bijan Robinson scored on a 15-yard run in the fourth quarter against Catalina Foothills.
— Brandon Walker hauled in a touchdown reception for Empire with 1 second left before halftime against Tanque Verde.
— Amphi was led against Rio Rico by running back Carlos Valarezo, who gained 224 yards on 10 carries and rushed for four touchdowns.
— Empire’s Will Kubota-Martin had an 80-plus yard TD run in the first half.
— Cholla QB Jordan Porter threw six touchdown passes and rushed for another against Poston Butte. One of his scoring strikes was a 69-yard pass to A.J. Blair.
— Poston Butte’s Cameron Tayshaun scored four touchdowns against Cholla.
— Sabino’s Drew Dixon, an Arizona commit, completed 14 of 19 passes for 233 yards at Douglas. He also rushed for 78 yards on seven carries. He had two touchdown passes and two touchdown runs.
