Kennedy Kurtz, Mia Sokolowski & Jordan Weatherless invited to U.S. National Volleyball Team Open Tryout

Former Ironwood Ridge volleyball standout Kennedy Kurtz was invited to take part in the U.S. Women’s National Team Open Tryout held this week from Mar. 3-5 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

A junior setter for Sacramento State, Kurtz will be joining athletes from over 90 colleges and high schools at the tryouts. In all, four national teams will be selected for various international competitions.

Also added to list is former Tucson High standout Mia Sokolowski. Sokolowski is a 6-4 outside hitter for Florida and former Ironwood Ridge setter Jordan Weatherless is also attending.   Weatherless plays for Illinois State. 

University of Arizona standouts Makenna Martin and Penina Snuka will also be attending
