LAS VEGAS — Rawle Alkins has had a great freshman season for Arizona, starting all but one game as a wing and earning Pac-12 All-Freshman honors in perhaps the most talented group of freshmen ever in the conference.
He is averaging 11.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and is shooting 37.4 percent from 3-point range.
But it’s not about offense for him.
I asked him after Arizona’s 92-78 win over Colorado in the Pac-12 about one thing he has learned about coach Sean Miller through his freshman season … and, well, I think even Miller would approve of the answer:
