Andy Morales earns Sabino’s McNally Award for coverage of Southern Arizona high school sports

Our Andy Morales (my brother) was honored today to be given Sabino’s Ray McNally Award for his significant contribution to high school athletics.

Sabino assistant principal Jay Campos, the former football coach of the Sabercats, presented Andy the award.

The award is named after the late Ray McNally, who was a Tucson Citizen sports editor and longtime sports radio broadcaster in Tucson.

Andy joined me with AllSportsTucson.com in January 2014 after covering high school athletics for the now defunct TucsonCitizen.com. He is known citywide by athletes, parents and coaches for his diligent coverage of all youth sports.

He also directs the Kicks4Kids programs that provides donated shoes to disadvantaged youth in many of Tucson’s schools.
