Kelsey Jenkins helps Canada take Bronze at Pan American Women’s Softball Championship

Former Sabino standout Kelsey Jenkins drew a leadoff walk against Team USA on Thursday to help pace Canada Softball to an early 3-0 lead but Team USA slowly pulled away for the 11-3 win.

The loss gave Softball Canada a Bronze Medal at the Pan American Women’s Softball Championship held in the Dominican Republic. Canada qualified for the 2018 WBSC Women’s World Championship and the 2019 Pan American Game in the process.

Team USA went on the defeat Mexico 9-0 in the championship game later in the day.
