Arizona’s Alkins out eight to 12 weeks with foot injury

And the hits keep coming for Arizona basketball.

Arizona sophomore guard Rawle Alkins had successful surgery Wednesday to repair a fractured bone in his right foot.

Alkins suffered the injury while participating in voluntary activities with his teammates Tuesday afternoon. The estimated timeframe for his return is approximately eight to 12 weeks.
