Michael Masunas, a 13-year-old 8th grader from Tucson, was selected to play football on the 14/15U US National Team. He will represent the United States of America at the International Bowl IX.

The International Bowl week will be held in Arlington, Texas, in AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, from January 13-17, 2018. The games will be televised on ESPN 3 and will include some of the top high school players in the world.

USA Football is entrusted to build and run America’s only National Team Program, as recognized by the United States Olympic Committee. As the sport’s National Governing Body, U.S. National Team events are the only programs that the NCAA has granted permission for current college coaches to train athletes.

Masunas was selected as a tight end (6-0, 206) but also plays defensive end. He is also undecided on his high school selection.
