Buena sophomore quarterback Jovoni Borbon completed five touchdown passes, including one with 6.2 seconds left in regulation and another in overtime, to lead the Colts to a 49-48 overtime victory over visiting Mountain View.

Borbon’s 6-yard TD pass to Kaleb Bryant with 6.2 seconds left in regulation forced overtime. His 6-yard TD pass to Khalil Gardley in overtime put Buena up 49-42. Mountain View cut the lead to 49-48 on a TD run but the Mountain Lions’ two-point conversion failed.

Borbon, who has taken part in the Rich Rodriguez Football Camp at Arizona, has led the Colts (5-4 overall) to at least a .500 record after they snapped a 22-game losing streak earlier this season.

Borbon’s first three TD passes were to Mandrell Garrick, including one for 70 yards.

— Cienega QB Jamarye Joiner had four TD passes and ran for the game-winning TD in the Bobcats’ thrilling win.
— Joiner, an Arizona commit, completed TD passes of 16 yards to Terrell Huggins, 14 yards to Terrell Hayward and 32 and 20 yards to Jerry White.
— The game featured back-to-back 95-yard kickoff returns for touchdowns, first by Ironwood Ridge’s David Phelps and then Hayward.
— Cienega PK Ezra Figueroa made two important field goals from 27 and 35 yards.
— The Bobcats’ Geo Owens broke loose for a 65-yard TD run.
— Among the Ironwood Ridge highlights were Trevor Parry’s 15-yard TD pass to Andrew Cook and Nick Brahler’s 30-yard rushing TD. Brahler’s score enabled Ironwood Ridge to take a 42-41 lead with less than two minutes remaining.
— Joiner’s second TD pass to White in the game and his two-point conversion throw to Steven Harshman put Cienega ahead 49-42 with 1:43 remaining.
— With 26.4 seconds remaining in regulation, a TD pass by Parry tied the game at 49.
— Brahler gave Ironwood Ridge a 55-49 lead with a TD run in OT but the PAT was blocked.
— Joiner’s 10-yard TD run tied the game at 55 and Figueroa’s extra-point — after a false-start penalty moved the ball back — gave the Bobcats the victory.

MOUNTAIN VIEW (7-2, 2-1) at Buena (5-4, 1-3)
— Buena wins 49-48 FINAL OT
— Buena QB Jovoni Borbon completed five TD passes, including one with 6.2 seconds left in regulation and other in overtime, to lead the Colts to the win.
— Lawrence Prior’s 55-yard TD run for Buena tied the game at 7.
— Mountain View’s Wyatt Adams responded with a TD run.
— Prior’s 5-yard TD run in the second quarter tied the game 14.
— After a Mountain View TD, Borbon’s 20-yard TD pass completed Mandrell Garrick tied the game at 21 in the second quarter.
— Adams’ TD run with 28.4 seconds left in the second quarter put Mountain View ahead 28-21 at the half.
— Borbon’s 70-yard TD pass to Garrick tied the game at 28 in the third quarter.
— Adams’ third TD run of the game put the Mountain Lions ahead 35-28 with 6:14 left in the third quarter.
— Varney Larson’s TD run increased Mountain View’s lead to 42-28 with 10:45 left in the fourth quarter.
— Borbon’s 10-yard TD pass completed to Garrick cut the lead to 42-35 with 5:42 left.
— Borbon connected on a 6-yard TD pass to Kaleb Bryant with only 6.2 seconds remaining to tie the game and force OT.
— Borbon completed a 6-yard TD pass to Khalil Gardley in OT to give the Colts a 49-42 lead.

Desert View (3-6, 0-3) at MARANA (7-2, 4-0)
— Marana wins 64-16 FINAL
— Trenton Bourguet had three TD passes and his brother Coben added another one in the victory.
— Trenton completed TD passes of 35 and 19 yards to Teon Simmons and later connected on a 34-yard scoring strike to Alfred Ebunoha.
— Zach Roberts added a TD run for Marana and he returned an interception 20 yards for a touchdown.

— Rene Valenzuela and Xoeius Ratliffe also scored on touchdown runs for the Tigers.
— Coben’s TD pass in the fourth quarter was a 38-yard pass to Bryant Williams.
— Desert View’s scoring — Gabriel Waer’s 70-yard TD pass to Chris Aros and Humberto Oronia’s 63-yard TD pass to Mario Vallejo.

— Poston Butte wins 59-39 FINAL
— Poston Butte QB Carter White accounted for seven touchdowns — four passing and three rushing.

Flowing Wells (2-7, 1-3) at 4A WALDEN GROVE (6-3, 2-2)
— Walden Grove wins 35-21 FINAL
— Mitchell Effing and Turner Sam each scored touchdowns for Flowing Wells.

SALPOINTE (8-1, 3-0) at Catalina Foothills (6-3, 2-1)
Salpointe wins 36-7 FINAL

— Salpointe RB Bijan Robinson gained 151 yards on the ground with three touchdowns. His 63-yard dash with 6:58 left in the first quarter opened up the scoring and the Lancers slowly pulled away.
— Fellow RB Mario Padilla added 116 yards rushing and two more scores, including a 47-yard run early.
— Senior QB Rodrigo Nieto ran for another 64 yards and threw for 29, with Padilla collecting 19 of those reception yards.

CANYON DEL ORO (4-5, 1-2) at Nogales (3-6, 1-3)
— Nogales wins 22-13 FINAL
— Nogales PK Paul Garcia opened the scoring with a 33-yard field goal.
— CDO’s Zachary Eidenschink completed a 34-yard TD pass to Anthony Maldonando.
— Martin Rivera’s 2-yard rushing TD gave Nogales a 10-6 lead.
— Elijah Carey’s 12-yard TD run put CDO ahead 13-10 in the third quarter.

— Bennett Nottingham, a senior WR for the Sabercats who is 5’8″ and 130 pounds, had four catches for 82 yards.

— Pusch Ridge wins 62-0 FINAL
— Pusch Ridge QB Christian Fetsis had two TD passes and two TD runs to lead the Lions.

— Pusch Ridge’s Max Atkinson recovered a fumble and returned it 35 yards for a TD.
