BOYS HOOPS: Kino Bellinger & Anthony Saunders break 1,000 & Dave Glasgow collects 300th win

Kino Bellinger scored 19 points to help Buena defeat Ironwood Ridge 75-48 Tuesday night. Only a junior, Bellinger became the fourth Colt to record 1,000 career points. Buena (17-2) is now 1-0 in the 5A South region.

In addition, head coach Dave Glasgow won his 300th game at Buena. Glasgow led Coolidge to three state titles (1998, 1999 and 2002) and a runner-up finish (2001). He has 517 career wins.

Anthony Saunders scored 21 points to lead Walden Grove past Rio Rico 97-70. The senior has 1,007 career points, making him the second member of his team to record 1,000 career points.
