Junior guard Allonzo Trier and freshman forward Deandre Ayton have made the cut for the 25 mid-season finalists for the John R. Wooden Award® presented by Wendy’s®.
The two are part of four players from the Pac-12 Conference. The other two are Arizona State’s Tra Holder and UCLA’s Aaron Holiday.
Holder was not on the list to begin the season.
Four schools have two players that were chosen: Arizona (Ayton and Trier), Duke (Grayson Allen and Marvin Bagley III), North Carolina (Joel Berry II and Luke Maye), and Villanova (Bridges and Jalen Brunson).
