Kristie Stevens earns National Coach of the Year recognition

Catalina Foothills girl’s tennis coach Kristie Stevens was one of 23 high school coaches from across the country to earn National Coach of the Year recognition by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Coaches Association.

The Falcons earned the top seed in the Division II state playoffs last year and finished in the semifinal round. Stevens has 13 state championships and three runner-up finishes to her credit.

Andy Morales was recognized by the AIA as the top high school reporter in 2014 and he was awarded the Ray McNally Award in 2017 and he has been a youth, high school and college coach for over 30 years. His own children have won multiple state high school championships and were named to all-state teams.
