It was a difficult night for most of the 12 teams from Southern Arizona on Tuesday night. Of those 12, only four survived to advance to the quarterfinal round to be played on Saturday:
Ironwood Ridge beat Willow Canyon 4-0 in 5A action, Salpointe beat Palo Verde 8-0 and Catalina Foothills beat Seton Catholic 6-0 in the 4A playoffs and Tanque Verde beat Northwest Christian 3-0 in 3A play.
The quarterfinal will be played Saturday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. The complete schedule is below.
