Four Arizona Wildcats, past and present, have been invited to the 2019 USA Softball Women’s National Team (WNT) Selection Trials, it was announced Tuesday.
Junior catcher Dejah Mulipola joins a trio of former Arizona players — pitcher Danielle O’Toole, catcher Chelsea Goodacre and infielder Mo Mercado — who are scheduled to participate in the tryout, to be held January 1-6 in Clearwater, Fla.
Forty-one players were invited. That will be pared to 18 for the team that will compete at the USA Softball International Cup and select international events. The roster will be cut to 15 for the Pan American Games, set for July 31-August 11 in Lima, Peru.
O’Toole was part of the U.S. team that won the 2018 Women’s World Championships.
