The senior, who led the NCAA in shutouts in 2018, is 15-5 through 10 weeks of her senior season with a 1.28 ERA and 157 strikeouts in 125.1 innings pitched. McQuillin is fourth in the Pac-12 in ERA (1.28), third in opponent batting average (.155) and fifth in strikeouts (157).

McQuillin joins Mauga (2017 – 6th), Estela Pinon (2014 – 4th), Jenae Leles (2009 – 6th), Taryne Mowatt (2008 – 6th), Kristie Fox (2007 – 5th), Alicia Hollowell (2006 – 5th) and Jackie Coburn (2005 – 2nd) as the eighth player to be taken in the top six picks of the draft.
