Salpointe standout Lathan Ransom named APS Digital Player of the Week

Salpointe standout Lathan Ransom rushed for 82 yards and pulled down 89 yards receiving to help Salpointe defeat Cactus 54-8 Friday night. Ransom finished with three TDs and he also collected five tackles in the victory.

The win moved Salpointe to 3-0 on the year and the Lancers will visit Tucson (3-2) next Friday.

APS Digital Print and the Tucson Conquistadores have agreed to recognize the Football Player of the Week and the awards will culminate with the official Frog and Firkin Southern Arizona All-Star lists and celebration in December.

Ransom will be receiving his APS Digital Player of the Week banner at practice this week.
