David Kelly, in his 11th year as a TV sports broadcaster in Tucson, joined the AllSportsTucson.com High School Sports Preview Show on Thursday night to talk about his background and the dedication to this community that he has developed.

He discusses his background beginning with his upbringing as a son of an NFL Hall of Famer and TV news anchor. His father, Leroy, was an accomplished running back for David’s beloved Cleveland Browns. His mother, Jacqueline, is a former TV news anchor.

His late uncle Pat Kelly played 15 Major League Baseball seasons with five American League teams.

Kelly also touched on how his career in Tucson started in 2008 when he served as the anchor for the Arizona Wildcats Radio Network during football and men’s basketball broadcasts as well as working in a play-by-play capacity on Arizona softball and baseball games.
