Former Sahuaro High School and Arizona softball player Gina Snyder has been hired to coach the Manatee (Fla.) Squeeze of the Florida Gulf Coast League that features teams comprised of college players during the summer.
Snyder played in the Florida Gulf Coast League, which features a 30-game schedule in the Tampa Bay area starting in early June, including an all-star game event, home run derby and playoffs. Baseball and softball teams make up the league. The softball division features 12 teams.
After two years at Purdue, Snyder played for Mike Candrea‘s program at Arizona the last two years.
Some of her biggest wins as a pitcher for the Wildcats came against Japan in an exhibition game and against Florida State and UCLA.
