NOTES
Palo Verde junior Kiana Ortiz leads the 4A Conference with 10 double-doubles including two at the Flowing Wells Shootout. She was two assist shy of a quadruple-double against Walden Grove on Friday with 18 points, 16 steals, 12 rebounds and 8 steals.
Catalina Foothills freshmen Reilly Clark and Katie Burns have made their presence known. Clark is averaging over 13 points a game for former University of Arizona standout Sue Darling.
Sunnyside’s starting five is probably one of the best the program has ever seen. Angelina Alcantar, Gisselle Gonzales and Andrea de la Fuente are averaging over 43 points a game.
Marana’s Bella Muscoreil suffered an unspecified injury on Saturday against Georgetown, Texas. A Dixie State commit, the injury will be difficult for the Tigers to overcome but her health is vastly more important.
